April 15th, 2019
Today we treated a patient with two problems. One is that she developed herpetic neuralgia in the left thoracic abdominal area that she has had for at least three years postherpetic pain. Her second problem is that she had a total hip replacement and for over three years she has had pain in the area of her left hip and developed increased bone in the muscle called “heterotopic ossification”. She had pain constantly in both areas especially with walking.
Combination Treatment Program
We made a diagnosis of postherpetic neuralgia and trochanteric bursitis, gluteus medius tendinitis with a total hip replacement, and postoperative pain. I treated her with a combination of neural therapy/perineural injection technique from Lyftogt along with PRP and prolotherapy.
Positive Patient Outcome
We are pleased to report today that the pain from a postherpetic neuralgia is almost gone with two to three treatment sessions and the pain in her left hip is 80% better. We should have both problems resolved within the next few treatment sessions.
We give this case study to demonstrate the power of regenerative therapies using the perineural injection technique from Lyftogt and PRP and prolotherapy.
